I started quilting in 1999 when I was preparing my art show for my master's degree at Kansas State University. One of the pieces in my show was my very first quilt which was composed of original illustrations that were scanned into the computer and transferred to fabric. This quilt was made for my mother and her support with my trip abroad to Norwich, England, where I studied for a semester at the Norwich School of Art and Design. All the illustrations on the quilt relate to my experiences while in England (and yes, they do drink a lot of tea!).

After I completed my degree, I joined the local quilt guild, Prairie Star Quilt Guild, and have been happily quilting ever since. In the summer of 2007, I started designing fabric for Timeless Treasures with my friend and business partner, Toni Steere (former owner of Prairie Pieces, Council Grove, KS) and formed Wing and a Prayer Design.

I reside in Manhattan, KS, with my husband, three boys and two dogs. Some of my other interests include flower gardening, decorating, traveling and water sports.
